Since inception in 1975, Canvey Island Swimming Club (CISC) has been competing in the world of swimming and has pupils from all local areas. Swimmers are trained and developed then fed through to the club’s squad system where Head Coach and Head Teacher work together to transform them into competitive swimmers. We are a competitive club whilst encouraging young swimmers to attend just for the fun and fitness side of swimming. All swimmers are introduced into a sporting environment where fitness along with nutrition play vital roles. CISC competes in the local and national swimming leagues. We swim against other clubs in and around Essex and at county level, we are regularly in the top six positions of events. All swimmers develop confidence and courage to compete in a race either as an individual or in a team event.
